These computer labs will serve to lower gaps in access to devices and the Internet by offering public computer access for individuals with specials needs, Marylanders without permanent home (i.e. unhoused), veterans, and our incarcerated & returning citizens. The program supplies grants of approximately $65,000 for as much as 100% for the development, upgrade, and/or retrofit of computer system labs/centers throughout Maryland.

Applications closed on November 29, 2024.$2 million is available for this program. The financing source for the program is the American Rescue Strategy Act of 2021 and all federal guidelines needed of the funding apply to the program. The Maryland Office of Statewide Broadband is making up to around $11.8 million available through Connect Maryland's Network Infrastructure Grant Program Round 2.

Financing will support projects that improve broadband transportation capacity, interconnection, resiliency, redundancy, and long-lasting network scalability.
